The American Diabetes Association 2004 Scientific Sessions were held in Orlando, Florida from June 4-8, 2004 and offered an opportunity to learn about the latest in diabetes research, meet with researchers and clinicians, and meet with industry representatives.

Children with Diabetes (CWD) had a small booth to show our web site to the 18,000 people who attended from all over the world. You can read more about the conference at CWD's Report from ADA 2004.

Thank you to the Children Have Rights In School web site. This web site is specifically targeted for children with Type 1 (Juvenile) Diabetes in school. Thank you for being true advocates of kids with diabetes!

On October 16, 2006, IBM South Florida had its the 2006 IBM Employee Charitable Contributions Campaign (ECCC) kick off meeting. After the meeting several ECCC eligible organization had booths to discuss the organizations with South Florida IBM'ers. JUST FOR FUN #2 --> IBM RAMAC "Random Access Method of Accounting and Control." You may not realize but IBM invented the hard disk drive in the late 1950's. It was called RAMAC. Here is actual IBM documentary movie on the invention of RAMAC (NOTE-please allow at least 45-60 seconds for the movie to buffer to 100% for first time viewing).
