13 Year Old Sarah

Hi, my 13 year old daughter Sarah was diagnosed at age nine with Diabetes. 狢 was eight months pregnant at the time with my fourth child but we all pulled together, and practically lived at the hospital while she was stabilized and we all learned how to test her blood and give her injections. With puberty at her doorstep, her blood sugars were out of control, especially at night. Her A1C was climbing. Then we were offered the opportunity to go on the pump, ALLELUHIA! What a difference. It's only been since August 4th of l998, and we are still working out the kinks of the no delivery alarms and placement of the sets, but we're not looking back. I love my daughter so much, she has always been my best friend, and I silently grieve at her struggle to stay healthy and under control, and now the pump has helped us both so much. She is promoting it to everyone she meets. She can laugh, go to parties, eat when she wants to, and finally feels like a normal teenager. I'm sending her your web page tonight, and when she gets it.
